META META MEAT (hehe)

Since I’m serious this time about going, and folks are starting to make plans… I made a little forum-like thing on my site HERE. Ok, so it’s just a comment blog BS (AJ’s new creation is cooler, but dare I ask him to share his secrets?). Go fuck yourself if you don’t like it. Ha!
On the “forum” there are public sections for general discussion, how to get there (to coordinate car pools) and who’s going. There is also a private section for coordinating hotel and roommates. To access the last section, you’ll need a password. If you want it, e-mail me or post a comment and I’ll respond with it. Pretty easy sleazy.
I’m OCD (you know it), so I need a centralized place to see what’s going on. I’m not trying to control the situation… which is out of character for me. Ha! I’m going to make new album art now.

META META META
So I’m brainstorming this expo thing…
I’m pretty certain I will be attending, see as though Seattle to Vegas isn’t a big commute. But this is just some preliminary putting thoughts to paper.
I searched airfare (this isn’t the cheapest necessarily, but was pretty inexpensive) for 8/13-17 from all of our major ports.
Seattle to Vegas — $214.00 RT
Portland to Vegas — $204.00 RT
Sacramento to Vegas — $236.00 RT
LA to Vegas — $144.00 RT
Then I thought about a roadtrip option too, leaving from Seattle through Portland, Sac and LA to Vegas.
Here is the mileage breakdown.
Seattle to Portland — 157
Portland to Sacramento — 586
Sacramento to LA — 378
LA to Vegas — 277
Total — 1,398
I could rent a minivan for under $600 and average 22.5 miles a gallon at $3.75 a gallon for fuel. The van could fit up to seven people and I can count six folks who have sort of committed to going (Me, Rebecca Nay, Matt & Weegie, Tigger and A/A/A). Other folks could be Waffles (ha!) or SD Mark. But! If only six people go, it’s about $275.88 per person. Not necessarily more econnmical, but could be fun.
What do you west coasters think?
